Committee for Change Management

In March 2002, The Joint Management Committee of the AJI-CWI established a committee to coordinate change management activities related to the initiative. The Committee for Change Management (CCM) reports to the Implementation Committee (IC).

The Committee's overall goal is to support the successful implementation of restructuring changes being introduced as part of the AJI-CWI process, by planning, implementing, and coordinating communication, consultative, and support activities with internal and external stakeholder groups.

The objectives for Change Management under the AJI-CWI are:

  1. To consult with representatives of stakeholder groups to:
    1. assess the implications of proposed changes for their groups;
    2. identify how changes related to their group can be most effectively implemented;
    3. identify effective methods of communication related to their group; and
    4. identify how the parties to the AJI-CWI can support changes within their groups.
  2. To promote an awareness of the history, goals, purposes and objectives of the AJI-CWI.
  3. To provide stakeholder groups with accurate, timely, relevant and understandable information on the implementation plan and associated changes and time lines.
  4. To support stakeholder groups in making or adapting to changes related to the AJI-CWI process.
  5. To monitor the change implementation process and identify issues and problems associated with implementation.
  6. To promote the development of positive working relationships between parties to the AJI-CWI and external stakeholder groups.
