Service Transition
Service transition involved the transfer of caseloads and other resources from the current child and family services agencies to agencies operating under the new Aboriginal Authorities. A common process called the Authority Determination Process or ADP was developed to direct children and families involved with child and family services to the most culturally appropriate Authority. The transfer of caseloads, resources, and assets occured once the Aboriginal Authorities and agencies were ready to assume these responsibilities. Transfers were planned and implemented on a region-by-region basis.
