The Specific Statement of
Work includes:
- Preparation of baseline data describing providers
and users of child and family services in Manitoba, including:
- Currently allocated resources and assets,
including staffing ("inventory
of services");
- Funding models;
- Statistical indicators of volumes of services;
- Identification of gaps in statistical indicators
(that is, identification of what information is not collected)
and means of filling these gaps;
- Demographic dimensions of Manitoba and focusing
upon current First Nation and Metis populations, and
- The means and methods of developing a registry
of Metis people in Manitoba.
- Additional information concerning existing child
and family service programs, including:
- A description of services;
- The origin of the services;
- The target population for the services.
- A description of the contents of a 'standard
child and family service case management file' that is the basis
of service to First Nation and Metis families.
- A description of child and family service needs
of First Nation and Metis people.
Identification of 'best practice' models from
other human service jurisdictions and other sectors including
innovations that may be adopted in Manitoba to support achievement
of the re-structuring.
